Sharing farm advice know-how between islands including techniques,
GIS and information technology. Also local farmer consultation/feedback
about their interests, concerns and recommendations on agri-environment
schemes and farm advice.
The Project provides opportunity for sharing
know-how between islands to the widely varying approaches for farm advice
across Europe. This promotes the opportunity for existing
farm advisors and landowners to cherry-pick and take advantage of
case studies of best practice and on-the-ground biodiversity monitoring
results. Training and consultation locally will advise landowners and the
farm advisers on the schemes available and which have practically been seen
to be most successful in a local context for maintenance of biodiversity
and farm landscapes.
